The magnificent setting of the Real Teatro Santa Cecilia plays host to a special performance that unites three great Japanese cultural traditions and martial arts on a single stage: Wadaiko (powerful Japanese drums), Kyokushin Karate, Iaido (the art of the sword), and the sublime art of the Samurai.
The deep sound of the Hakata-Fukurou Wadaiko drums makes the earth vibrate; the strength and dynamic energy of Kyokushin Karate captivate the eye; the discipline and beauty of Iaido convey the essence of a spirit sharpened in silence.
From the meeting of "movement and stillness", of "thunder and silence", a unique harmony is born, bringing to the stage the core values of the Land of the Rising Sun: respect, technique, beauty, and spirit. Through sound, gesture, and passion, this unique show is designed to let you experience the depth of Japanese culture beyond all language barriers.
